With love and best wishes from me, the 'Wild Somerset Child' (Ann Somerset Miles) and the 'man-about-the-house' (my husband Ray Quinton, whose photo this is) a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year - all the best for 2011.
Hi Ann, So glad you wrote. I lived in Flamborough from 1946- 1957 after which we lived in Bridlington. If you're 73 then we were the same age when you visited. Thanks for your birthday wishes! I will always be glad to hear from anyone with memories of Flamborough :) I'll be visiting your blog regularly -- after the Christmas weekend is over. Lovely to hear from you. (Lidster was my maiden name and we lived on Woodcock Road and then at the Golf Club at the lighthouse.)
The very same to you, dear Ann. Thinking of you here in my kitchen in the Virginia countryside, hoping you are cosy in your own kitchen across the water.
Beautiful! It looks like wonderland.
